Student Interns at the Clemson Social Media Listening Center

The SMLC internship provides students experience with real-world application of social media listening data. Through various projects established by the leadership of the SMLC, students gain a deeper understanding of social media listening, client relationships, marketing strategies, and project management. SMLC employees also will provide input and lead client meetings to establish social media goals and how to best utilize the center. Additionally, interns may have the opportunity to provide live press coverage around events happening that semester.

By the end of the semester, students will be familiar with social media listening software (Sprinklr), able to effectively survey the digital landscape, and examine data to assess its value. Students will have the opportunity to work collaboratively on assignments, individually on personal assignments and gain a deeper understanding over leveraging digital analytics in the digital sphere.
