Growing Together
The Clemson Extension School and Community Gardening program works closely with state and community funding partners to provide high-quality professional training and technical support to school and community gardeners. Together, we work to equip educators, volunteers, and community members with the skills and materials needed to enrich garden-based learning, school wellness initiatives, and the development of community gardens.
School and community gardens are a low-cost, high-impact approach to improving educational outcomes, promoting physical and mental health, and increasing overall well-being. Pairing online and in-person horticulture-based training with technical and financial support has led to hundreds of successful, sustainable school and community-based gardens throughout South Carolina. We appreciate and celebrate these partners for their commitment to growing a healthier more sustainable future for our citizens.
