How to Apply
Admission to Clemson University DSA program requires an application to Clemson University online graduate school application.
Application Deadline:
- Application deadline: April 15th
- All student cohorts begin in the Summer
Minimum Requirements for Prospective Students:
Bachelors Degree from accredited 4-year university (university transcripts required)
- Quantitative Reasoning Skills - the ability to reason and apply mathematics (this can be obtained with course work or work experience)
- It is recommended that applicants have some programming experience and a background that includes intro Calculus.
- The GRE scores are not required

Application Fee
The Clemson University Graduate School does not have an application fee.
Personal Statement
The DSA program requires a personal statement where you will be asked to answer the following questions:
- Why do you want to pursue a graduate degree in Data Science and Analytics?
- Why do you want to pursue a graduate degree at Clemson University?
Resume
You are required to upload a CV or resume. For sample resumes and helpful tips see the graduate school admissions website on preparing to apply.
Letters of Recommendation
The DSA program requires 2 letters of recommendation. Within the online application you will be asked to submit the names and email addresses of two references. The Graduate School will send forms for recommendation to the references via email.
Transcript
The Graduate School requires transcripts from any university from which you earned a degree. Unofficial transcripts will be sufficient for application review. Official transcripts are required upon acceptance.
GRE/GMAT
The DSA program does not require GMAT or GRE scores. Applicants may choose to upload scores within in the online application, but this is not required.
Additional Requirements for International Applicants
- Applicants must submit a course-by-course transcript review by a NACES-recognized evaluation source.
- Either the Official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or completion of ELS level 112 at an ELS Language School is required.
