Educational Background

B.S., Physics & Its Applications, University of Toronto at Scarborough, 2009
Ph.D., Astronomy & Astrophysics, University of Toronto, 2015

Profile/About Me

After getting my PhD in the University of Toronto, Canada, I became a postdoctoral researcher in the University of California, Berkeley, first as an NSERC fellow, then as a NASA Sagan fellow. I continued my postdoctoral research in the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, NJ, before joining the Clemson faculty in 2021.

Research Interests

I study the theory of planet formation, such as how planets and protoplanets accrete material and grow, how they migrate, and how protoplanetary disks, the cradles of these young planets, react to their formation. Ultimately, the goal is to provide an explanation for the origin of the Earth and the solar system, as well as the thousands of exoplanets discovered around other stars. I also develop software to take advantage of GPU acceleration and produce high resolution hydrodynamical simulations of planet-disk interaction, which I use to model relevant physics and compare with observations.
