Landlord/Tenant Responsibilities
When preparing to move in, please consider the following:
Knowing your rights and responsibilities as a tenant is important. The US Department of Housing has some helpful information regarding South Carolina tenant rights, laws, and protections.

Move In
- Inspect your apartment/home at move-in
- Speak to the landlord or property manager about any concerns
- Document any damage using photographs
- Document, in writing, how repairs will be made
- Maintain a copy of your lease
