- Creative Inquiries MGT 4970:
- Servant Leadership: Servant leadership is an essential concept for future business leaders to acknowledge; it considers how an organization affects the growth and well-being of the people in the local community. This Creative Inquiry project will explore what it means to be a servant leader through a partnership with Samaritan's Feet, a non-profit organization based out of Charlotte, N.C. Students will be called upon to apply their related knowledge, skills and servant leadership abilities to address a relevant business challenge facing Samaritan's Feet and provide insight, recommendations and lead action steps to provide effective, practical solutions. This is an ongoing project beginning with a course on servant leadership principles during the Spring semester and a more applied, independent study approach during the Fall semester. The Spring semester course contains a travel component during Spring Break (domestic or abroad, depending on the year).
- Deloitte Consulting: As businesses are becoming increasingly technology-driven, the need for innovative solutions and market-leading expertise is in high demand. Are you committed to making an impact with a fresh vision, new models and reimagined processes? Explore how technology management consulting embraces the hardest problems and helps clients find and take advantage of opportunities others may never even see. Join us to explore what it means to be a management consultant and how technology is used to enable business transformation and help drive shareholder value. Gain an understanding of the latest tech trends shaping the marketplace and experience translating theory into practical, real-world client delivery scenarios. This course will provide students with a chance to think critically and gain insights into what it means to deliver technology-focused management consulting engagements. Please be aware that this class requires lots of effort but is also extremely rewarding. By the end of the semester, you will be a more marketable employee and may even be offered a job/internship.
