Summer Internships Abroad
Full-time Clemson MBA candidates have the unique opportunity to spend the summer gaining valuable professional and cultural experience by interning abroad for eight weeks in one of five exciting destinations through our partnership with Academic Programs International (API).
Students will spend time living and interning abroad in a placement tailor-made for their learning and career objectives. Through careful program design, this internship program encompasses a number of career development and cultural resources to maximize time abroad and includes key services and support for a seamless experience:

MBA Corporate Global Internship Details:
Full-time MBAc students will register for MBA 8880 - International Internship (6 credit hours), fulfilling the internship requirement for those with fewer than two years of work experience. The course consists of 8 weeks abroad and a final presentation upon return. Students will focus on core competencies, including professionalism, leadership and communication, while navigating a new global mindset. Course assignments will include an initial proposal, weekly discussion modules, mid-point and final reviews by the employer and a mid-point paper by the student. Students will be asked to reflect on accomplishments, challenges and personal goals in a final presentation back at Greenville ONE in August.
MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation Global Internship Details:
Full-time MBAe students will register for MBA 8340 - International Business Plan Capstone (3 credit hours). This course will consist of 8 weeks of living and interning abroad with a start-up organization in which students will focus on core competencies, including innovation, communication and adaptability, while navigating a global entrepreneurial mindset. Assignments will include an initial proposal, weekly discussion modules, mid-point and final reviews by the employer and a mid-point paper by the student. Final presentations will take place in Greenville in August, where students will reflect on accomplishments, challenges and personal goals following this robust international experience.
