Architecture, Society and the City
This certificate on Architecture, Society and the City focuses on the ideas, histories and theories behind buildings. It emphasizes the effects of cultural and social changes in the built environment. It prepares students to navigate and have agency in a world that is rapidly changing culturally, socially and physically, in terms of demographics and social structures as well as through changing patterns of urbanization and growth. As the traditional boundaries between urban and rural are being challenged, current spatial practices are examined across different scales.
