This wall is designed to follow the topography of the raised mounds that surround the courtyard while diverting the main focus away from the center of the space to the curved wooden rails that encircle you. The wall is supported by metal frames that can expand and contract to change the size of the wall at certain spots. The wooden rails loosely snake across the courtyard, projecting shadows upon the ground that move as the sun travels across the sky, giving the viewer the perception of time. Some of the rails converge in places to form sitting areas, and the wall was constructed in such a way as to allow people to climb inside and push or pull the wall to alter the shape of it.
