Public Plazas, Waterfront Recreation, Free Beach Access, and Maritime Connectivity. These four topics make up the Denmark Waterfront Design. Positioned for proper sun and wind exposures, these plazas provide celebrtory spaces for the well-represented creative class, who make up a large demographic of Denmark. Originally considered a public-life graveyard, the addition of waterfront recreational spaces continues Copenhagen’s unique, urban, nature centric activities. The inclusion of the beach allows for a break from urban life, providing visitors a peaceful balance the city is known for. Most importantly, the brygge connects previously separated urban outskirts, using the bridge as more than just a mode of travel. The boating locations allow for maritime trade and travel, while providing many free amenities for citizens to enjoy and appreciate the place they live.
