Fei worked at the Morgan Poultry Center, gaining hands-on experience in poultry farming and research. She learned how to raise poultry for egg production while deepening her appreciation for chickens and roosters. She also completed the National Poultry Improvement Plan certification, further expanding her knowledge in the field. Fei will follow her passion for poultry in a full-time role at Perdue Farms.

Mackenzie gained valuable industry experience through a 10-week internship at General Mills, where she led projects in sustainability, graphics design, and plant trials, even seeing her package design displayed at company headquarters. These experiences solidified her passion for packaging science and gave her a clearer vision of her future career path.

Abi Ruth completed a sales and marketing internship with Michelin at their North America headquarters in Greenville, SC, focusing on the off-road division. From plant tours and work trips to hands-on training to expand industry knowledge, she learned about the critical role of tires and tracks in agriculture while advocating for soil preservation. Prior to the internship, she completed the J. Daniel and Nancy Garrison Sales Innovation Program which provided training preparing her for this sales role. Abi Ruth will return to Michelin after graduation!

As a research intern at the University of Córdoba, Sebastian gained experience through the FLORECE program, immersing myself in agricultural research and Spanish culture. My work focused on studying silicon’s role in sunflower potassium uptake while also assisting graduate students and refining my lab skills. This experience broadened my perspective on global agricultural challenges and inspired me to continue learning Spanish, opening doors for future opportunities in horticulture.

During his co-op experience with Lucid Motors, Shawn developed returnable packaging for the launch of the Gravity vehicle while tracking key performance indicators of packaging prototypes. He also conducted business case analyses to assess the cost-saving potential of the returnable packaging concept.

Attending the American Future Agriculture (AFA) Conference in Kansas City provided a valuable opportunity to engage with industry leaders, expand my professional network, and explore various sectors within agriculture. Through workshops and networking, I honed my communication and leadership skills, gaining insights into the importance of building strong professional relationships. This experience not only reinforced my strengths but also pushed me to refine my ability to initiate conversations in high-pressure situations, ultimately contributing to both my personal and professional growth.

Erin will be pursuing a coordinated program in Nutrition at Boston University, where she will work towards earning her Master’s in Nutrition. Following that, she will begin her Dietetic Internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She’s thrilled about the opportunity to dive deeper into clinical nutrition and gaining hands on experience in SIM labs, participating in a practicum program, and exploring all the floors Beth Israel has to offer.

Major: Animal and Veterinary Science

Sophia gained practical experience through her Animal and Veterinary Science major and minor in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology, where she assisted in vaccinating livestock, helped ewes give birth, and applied wildlife management techniques in Clemson's Experimental Forest and beyond. Sophia’s most meaningful experience was conducting research through Creative Inquiry on the endangered Eastern Hellbender populations in North Carolina, where the team’s research has contributed to important data for conservation efforts. Sophia will attend veterinary school to pursue a career in wildlife conservation and rehabilitation veterinary care.
