Mission
To improve the quality of life for women at Clemson University through advocacy, partnerships, infrastructure improvements, and events that enhance a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The work of the Clemson University Women’s Commission is led by a strategic plan for inclusive excellence. Plan goals include:
- Increase communications regarding issues impacting women at Clemson University;
- Ensure a more diverse membership within the Women’s Commission;
- Provide opportunities to celebrate/honor Women’s leadership and accomplishments at Clemson University;
- Advocate for improving gender-inclusive facilities at all University locations;
- Collaborate with university organizations, faculty, students, and staff to improve campus climate by addressing behaviors such as interpersonal violence, bullying, harassment, and intimidation;
- Advocate for the advancement of university infrastructure and services that enhance a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Membership & Awards
The Women's Commission has been working to support women at Clemson for over 50 years, and we have important work to do. We strongly support the university’s efforts for diversity, equity and inclusion and welcome people of all gender identities to apply.
The annual call for new members occurs in the spring.
