Community, Engagement, Belonging and Access

What We Do

The Clemson University Division of Community, Engagement, Belonging and Access (CEBA) is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment. Our guiding principles shape our approach to education, research, and engagement. Let's explore how we are meeting the needs of our University and the community around us.

CEBA aspires to create meaningful relationships that strengthen the bonds within our unique campus community. We actively facilitate dialogues and educational initiatives that broaden our understanding of the rich tapestry that makes up our community. We are also dedicated to experiential opportunities that enrich the academic journey, allowing individuals to engage with high-impact experiences and varying perspectives. We want to promote research initiatives exploring innovative solutions to enhance inclusive excellence across our campus.

We aim to bring together our community to understand and appreciate the significance of a sense of belonging, which is paramount in our workplace, institution and daily lives—embracing inclusive excellence and promoting an environment where everyone feels empowered and valued to contribute their unique perspectives. Join us as we work together to create a more connected, informed, and innovative community. Explore the ways we are transforming our community:

Our Signature Events

Men of Color National Summit

The Men of Color (MOC) National Summit is an annual conference that works to bridge the opportunity gap and to illuminate pathways after high school for African American/Black and Hispanic/Latinx men of color and their allies by emphasizing the importance of education and inspiring high school and college students to see opportunities for their future.

Founded in 2017, the event has earned a reputation nationally amongst educators, educational institutions, policymakers, government leaders and corporate stakeholders. The impact of the event and its offerings on students, Clemson University stakeholders and higher education in South Carolina has been established, and the program’s reputation is growing in caliber and geographically.

Women's Roundtable

The Women’s Roundtable is a valuable developmental and networking occasion dedicated to recognizing, exploring and supporting the advancement of girls and women, particularly in STEM fields. This event unites participants to highlight the significance of education, self-care and empowerment. It further emphasizes providing attendees with essential tools and skill sets to navigate exclusionary educational and professional settings that girls and women may encounter. Through this collective effort, the Women’s Roundtable endeavors to foster an inclusive and thriving environment for all.
