Overview

Each year, natural disasters cause significant damage and disruption to the nation’s transportation infrastructure, destroying delivery routes and complicating support efforts. In partnership with the U.S. Army, Clemson graduate students designed, built, and validated an autonomous off-road vehicle to deliver disaster relief supplies and map local environments without putting humans in harm’s way.

With more than 900 actively monitored parameters, the Deep Orange vehicle is one of the most advanced and unique research platforms of its kind, advancing the state of autonomous technology.
