Creative Inquiry is a combination of undergraduate research experiential learning and cross-disciplinary interactions that is unique to Clemson University.

Team-based investigations are led by faculty mentors and typically span a year or more. Students from  all disciplines at every level of their education tackle real-world issues and research problems. These  invaluable experiences produce exceptional graduates with a multitude of accomplishments.

Since its start in 2005, Creative Inquiry has supported more than 65,000 student experiences in more  than 2,000 research projects. Each year, close 5,000 undergraduate students investigate topics ranging  from children’s literacy to medical devices for developing  countries to drug resistance in pathogens.

Creative Inquiry projects can be found in all disciplines,  many are multidisciplinary. Students value opportunities to  work on real-world problems and to develop career skills in  leadership, networking and how to work in teams.
