
Timber Design Faculty Development Workshop

Clemson University's School of Architecture and Wood Utilization + Design Institute are partnering with the Softwood Lumber Board and U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities to host a two-and-a-half-day, hands-on workshop for engineering faculty. Learn about teaching timber design, exploring topics such as the National Design Specification, light-frame timber design, course design, and sample assignments and projects.
The workshop will include presentations from guest speakers, tours of Clemson's mass timber facilities, and active dialogue among participants to equip teach timber design courses at your institution. This workshop is all-inclusive for participants. Travel expenses, lodging and meals are funded through a generous grant from the Softwood Lumber Board and U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities.
