Clemson CRRSAA Grant
Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) Reporting — Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students
On December 27, 2020, Congress passed the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 (CRRSAA), which provided Clemson University with $6,789,998 in funding for emergency financial aid grants. (This is in addition to the CARES Act Grants disbursed in May 2020.) We disbursed the funds in three tiers: we awarded $1,000 to Federal Pell Grant recipients; $750 to students with Expected Family Contributions (EFC) less than 10,000; and $500 to students with any gross financial need as demonstrated by a valid Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). In the initial disbursement on April 13, 2021, we awarded $6,645,750 to 9,426 students. As of September 14, 2021, we awarded $6,789,998 to 9,537 students.
