Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC)
The Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures plan, SPCC, aims to prevent discharges of petroleum products such as oil, gasoline or diesel from reaching navigable waters of the US. Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) training is required for individuals that work with all forms of petroleum products, including cooking oil and animal fats, in containers 55 gallons and larger. Facilities that store more than 1,320 gallons of oil onsite are subject to EPA Oil Pollution Prevention regulations and must have an SPCC plan.
Initial training required for those who work at a CU facility that is required to take Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) training in SciShield.
Click here to access the current SPCC Plan for your Clemson University Location. Accessing these plans will require you to log in with your CU ID and Password.
Contact the Hazardous Materials/Environmental Compliance Manager for questions or more information.

This includes planning, compliance, permitting, and remediation efforts. Please contact the Hazardous Materials/Environmental Compliance Manager for questions and/or guidance.
