Major Fellowships
Rangel Graduate Fellowship Program
The Rangel Program offers 45 graduate fellowships to outstanding seniors and graduates who intend to join the Foreign Service. These fellowships help finance two-year graduate programs, provide paid internships and other professional development activities, and facilitate entry into the Foreign Service. This competitive program seeks applicants with a strong academic background, a commitment to service and an interest in making a difference in the world around them. The program encourages the application of members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service and those with financial need. The fellowship provides up to $42,000/year in aid as well as $10,000 per summer for internships. Fellows who successfully complete the Rangel Program and Foreign Service entry requirements will receive appointments in the State Department Foreign Service and commit to five years of service. Minimum 3.2 GPA.
