Ready, Set, Roar!

Ready, Set, Roar! is an optional Orientation experience on Clemson University’s main campus designed to orient students and guests to campus and their academic programs and to connect them with other incoming Clemson Tigers. It’s time to get excited about the start of your Clemson Journey and come visit your new home!

After Attending Ready, Set, Roar!:

  • Ninety-six percent of students and guests felt like a member of the Clemson community.
  • Ninety-seven percent of students felt prepared to invest in their Clemson Experience.
  • Ninety-five percent of students agree or strongly agree that Ready, Set, Roar! was worth their time.
  • Ninety-eight percent of students said their Orientation Ambassador made them feel welcome.

“The person I have to give the most thanks to would be my Welcome Week leader. His name is True Liles, and I have to give him the credit [for getting into Freshman Council], because he was the one who ultimately told me to apply. During Welcome Week, he encouraged us to apply for activities on campus. He sent me the application a few times, and Freshman Council ended up being the reason I love Clemson so much.”

Schedule of Events

For a full schedule of events, please download the Clemson University Events app on either the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Once downloaded, search for “Ready, Set, Roar!” We will have this experience rain or shine, so please plan accordingly.

Arriving to Campus

All Ready, Set, Roar! parking will be in the R-9 and R-10 parking lot (PDF) for the duration of the program. Parking elsewhere on campus may result in a parking ticket. We will have signs around campus directing you to the correct lot. Please note that active construction is taking place on campus; carefully following our signage will steer you clear of any detours!

Check-In

Upon your arrival to campus, you’ll provide your name to check in to the event, receive a name tag, and have the option to grab some coffee, use the restroom and meet those around you before the opening session begins.
