Areas of Expertise

Dr. Butler is interested in companion animal surgical pathology with an emphasis on gastrointestinal disease, hepatic pathology, and dermatopathology. Areas of research experience include mucosal immunology with an emphasis on development of animal models of infectious and non-infectious inflammatory intestinal disease.
