College Boards

The success of the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business depends on the personal commitment and active involvement of a select group of individuals who understand the privilege to serve and the responsibility to lead. Board members are expected to be zealous advocates on behalf of the college, enthusiastic communicators of its mission and play an integral role in our leadership development and fundraising activities.

Advocacy and Engagement Board

Clemson University's Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business Advocacy and Engagement Board serves as an advocate for student engagement in the college. Our focus is to help and support the Office of Career & Global Engagement in its mission to cultivate and engage students within the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business to become effective leaders, successful graduates and globally competitive professionals.

Finance Advisory Board

The Department of Finance Advisory Board is comprised of financial executives who provide both advisory and monetary support to the department. The board provides industry and finance knowledge and experience and recommendations on current job market trends, curriculum, alumni and student activities. The board meets semi-annually.

Management Advisory Board

The Department of Management Advisory Board is comprised of professionals in the industry who support the department's goals and mission of enhancing student experience and achievement.

Marketing Advisory Board

The Department of Marketing Advisory Board is comprised of successful industry partners, all Clemson supporters or alumni, who will advise on industry and national matters that directly and indirectly affect marketing students, faculty and staff. The purpose of this board is to bring industry partners together with the Department of Marketing to generate thoughts, ideas and strategic planning initiatives to prepare for both current market trends and future circumstances. Each board member will serve at least a two-year term, and the board meets once a semester.

School of Accountancy Board

The School of Accountancy Advisory Board is comprised of industry professionals with direct ties to Clemson University. Providing both advisory and monetary support to the School, the Board offers a working knowledge of trends and changes within the industry to mentor students, identify research opportunities and establish corporate partnerships.

Senior Advisory Board

The Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business Senior Advisory Board is an independent organization providing support and assistance to the college. The mission of the board is to advise the college regarding its progress and interactions with individuals, corporations and agencies external to Clemson and to develop, plan and facilitate specific targeted activities that advance the goals of the college through outreach to them.

Student Advisory Board

The Student Advisory Board is composed of students representing each academic department within the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business. These representatives are actively engaged in the college and provide a sounding board for student concerns. The Board works with the Dean and faculty of the college on projects to improve student learning and enhance the student experience. Other responsibilities of the Board include selecting the Undergraduate Excellence in Teaching Award and Student Service Award recipients.
