Research Interests
- Dr. Stewart's research interests include individual and team issues in venture creation and performance, strategic change and firm development, the organization-environment interface, and management issues in transition contexts, particularly the countries of the former Soviet Union. His research has appeared in academic journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Management, Journal of Small Business Management, and Management International Review. He has also published a research monograph, and presented research papers at numerous professional conferences, where his work has been recognized with research awards, and has been discussed in the media, including Entrepreneur.com, Entrepreneur, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, and a national radio broadcast, The Entrepreneur Hour. He has been the recipient of College research, teaching and service awards.
