Profile

Corbin Fox teaches investments at the undergraduate level at Clemson. He is an empirical researcher focusing on topics including social media and short sellers and the impacts they have on the financial markets. He received a B.S. in finance from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in 2013, a M.S. in finance from VCU in 2014, and a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Tennessee in 2019. Dr. Fox also works as an ad-hoc financial and business consultant, worked in securities and financial regulation at the Virginia State Corporation Commission, and he was previously on the faculty at James Madison University.

Research Interests

  • Social media, short sellers, equity analysts, equity lending, and market quality.
