Capt Mackenzie S. Golka is an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies at Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 770, Clemson University, South Carolina. In her role, Capt Golka helps facilitate training and education for over 150 cadets as they pursue a commission in the United States Air and Space Forces.
Capt Golka earned her undergraduate degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Auburn University in 2014. After working in the hospitality industry for almost two years, she received her commission through Officer Training School at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama in 2016. Capt Golka is a public affairs officer as well as a fully qualified missileer for the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile weapon system with over 7,000 total flight hours.
Prior to her current assignment, Capt Golka served as Chief of Command Information for Air Force Global Strike Command Public Affairs, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. She was responsible for managing headquarters-level communication operations across nine wings, two numbered air forces, Air Staff, U.S. Strategic Command and the White House.
