Professor Workman joined the School of Accountancy as Lecturer of Business Law in 2024 from private legal practice in Greenville. As part of the Commercial Real Estate group of Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A., his clients included health systems, utility companies, developers, real estate investors, commercial landlords and tenants, and lending institutions. He is admitted to practice law in South Carolina and North Carolina.
An alumnus of the Clemson Honors College, Workman earned his B.A. in History and Political Science down the hill from the College of Business in Brackett and Hardin Halls. During his undergraduate days, he also wrote for the sports page of The Tiger newspaper and played trombone in Tiger Band. Workman received his J.D. summa cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law in Athens. He is a native of Monticello, Georgia, best known as the principal filming location of the 1992 classic legal movie My Cousin Vinny. An avid sports fan, he can usually be found on gamedays cheering the Tigers, whether on the gridiron, hardwood, pitch, or diamond.
