After earning his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Clemson University, Mr. Tumblin had a successful business career where he executed many projects as a contractor for various federal agencies with a particular emphasis on NASA and the Department of Defense. Early in his career, he was recognized by the U. S. Small Business Administration for helping South Carolina technology-based businesses increase their participation in innovative research for federal agencies. His last position was Executive Director, Market Lead, for Concurrent Technologies Corporation where he led the development and growth of a business unit from two projects to more than $40 Million in annual contract awards. He has been involved with Clemson University throughout his life. He has served in the past on the Commission for the Future of Clemson, the Clemson University Board of Visitors (Marketing Chair), the College of Business Alumni Loyalty Board (Chair) and the College of Business Senior Advisory Board. He looks forward to sharing is love of Clemson and his business experiences with current students.
