Native of Goose Creek SC, and lifelong Clemson fan his journey to these hills took time. Needing discipline and structure in youth, he joined the military and served 20 years in the Army after high school. He spent 15 of those 20 years in the military supporting special operations units through many deployments around the world to include six combat/hostile fire deployments. His military training included... Basic Parachutist (Airborne) / Parachute Rigger / Air Assault / Combat LifeSaver / Unit Armorer / Field Sanitation / Warrior Leaders Course / Advance Prehospital Trauma Life Support / Airdrop Load Inspector / Free Fall Auto Ripcord Release / 5th SFG(A) SOTIC (Basic Sniper) / Jumpmaster Course / USASOC Jumpmaster Instructor / Free Fall Parachutist(HALO/HAHO) / Freefall Oxygen Systems Maintenance Course / Parachute Operations Mishap Prevention Course / Support Operations Course / CJSOTF Afghanistan IED Course / CJSOTF Afghanistan QRF/MOUT Course... After the military, he spent the next decade doing not for profit work helping Veterans and other 501 nonprofit organizations before coming to Clemson for a degree in Criminal Justice. Now happy to support the Clemson ROTC Fighting Tiger Battalion in administration to prepare future military leaders.
