CAH Research Support is an approved Office of Sponsored Programs satellite office. We provide professional grant proposal development, award acceptance, and administration services. The goal of our office is to lessen the administrative burden and reduce errors that may potentially eliminate your proposal from consideration by a sponsor. Getting Started and Finding Funding
The Office of Research Support assists in obtaining electronic registration with federal sponsors, with locating external and internal funding opportunities, and distributes information about Limited Submissions.

Developing Your Proposal
Our staff and the OSP Proposal Development Center provide developmental editing, proofreading, and group or individual consultation on all aspects of the proposal writing process, and proposal-related resources.

Preparing & Submitting Your Proposal
The Research Support Staff assist with developing budgets, verifying the necessary forms and templates, and explaining the requirements for the submission of your proposal. The Research Office will submit your proposal on behalf of Clemson University to the sponsor. CAH Policy states that a final version of your proposal must be submitted to CAH Research Support five business days prior to the sponsor deadline in order to meet University deadlines.

Award Negotiation & Setup
The Office of Research Support is authorized to negotiate and accept awards on your behalf. Our office works closely with faculty members during the negotiation phase.

Managing Your Award
The CAH Business Office works closely with the Office of Research Support and Grants and Contracts Administration in the Research Division during the life of the award.

Project Closeout
Grants and Contracts Administration works closely with the CAH Business Office and the Office of Research Support in closing out each project according to federal, state and/or sponsor guidelines.
