Plugged In Mentorship

The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Plugged In Program at Clemson University (CU) is aimed at connecting current CU ECE students with CU ECE alumni. More specifically, participating ECE alumni or strong ECE advocates mentor one to three ECE sophomore students who are interested in being a "mentee" in the program.

Building Connections

Clubs and Orgs

Communicating your ideas and understanding other points of view are essential in the workplace. Joining clubs and organizations is a valuable way to increase personal and professional development. Beyond the ones mentioned below, the College has a list of clubs and organizations by area.

Eta Kappa Nu

Eta Kappa Nu is the international honor society for Electrical and Computer Engineers. It was established to assist its members in their profession while helping members and non-members alike improve the profession. The Clemson Eta Kappa Nu Chapter, Zeta Iota, focuses most of its attention on undergraduate students who are majoring in electrical engineering and computer engineering.

IEEE

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the world's largest technical professional organization for the advancement of technology. The Clemson Student Branch provides an on-campus connection between Clemson students, IEEE, and industry professionals through tech talks, competitions, and networking opportunities, as well as hosting events to strengthen the Clemson ECE community.

PES

IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) Student Branch Chapter at Clemson University consists of members, including Graduate and Undergraduate students, faculty members, and associates who are working in the power and energy domain at Clemson University. Our chapter provides high-quality technical meetings and technical courses to our members and non-members alike.

ECE Ambassadors

The ECE Student Ambassadors assist the department with recruiting, outreach, and education programs. Ambassadors have a desire to engage in public speaking and a willingness to learn more about the opportunities available to students (co-op/internships, research, IEEE student projects, etc.). Additionally, it provides a fun way to network with faculty, alumni, and students within the college and the department.

CECAS GSAB

The CECAS Graduate Student Advisory Board (GSAB) exists to encourage and advocate for graduate students and their well-being while being a bridge of communication to the administration at Clemson. GSAB promotes diversity and inclusivity as they help incorporate students into the Clemson Family.
