Dean's Exceptional Staff Awards

The Dean's Exceptional Staff Awards are given to three CECAS staff members (two administrative and one technical) who demonstrate outstanding dedication and commitment to the college and their work unit and consistently go above and beyond their normal job duties. The winners of this award are chosen by a committee of fellow staff members from within the college, and every effort is made to keep the nominees anonymous during the review and selection process.

Nominee Eligibility

Nomination Guidelines

  • On the nomination form:
    • Describe why this nominee deserves the award with specific examples, not just a generic "they do a great job."
    • Describe how nominee has gone above & beyond their assigned job duties.
    • No multiple nominations on a single form, please.
    • Incomplete nomination forms will not be accepted.
  • Nominations will be compiled by the Dean's Exceptional Staff Awards Committee Chair and shared with the Dean's Exceptional Staff Awards Committee without names, department or other identifiers of the nominee.
  • Nominators will receive an e-mail confirmation of their submission and, optionally, the full text of their nomination.

Other Information

The winner of the Dean's Exceptional Staff Awards will be announced at the annual CECAS staff awards ceremony. This awards come with a $500 stipend and a plaque presented to each recipient. Please feel free to contact the Dean's Office with any questions or concerns.
