Criminal Justice and Social Work Ethics Series
The Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice and the Rutland Institute for Ethics have partnered to create the Criminal Justice & Social Work Ethics Series to help bring more ethical awareness to students in these majors. Students will be able to take what they have learned in the classroom and apply practical ethical judgement to dilemmas they will face once they leave Clemson.
These events will include ethical dilemmas in both Criminal Justice and Social Work and may include guest speakers from both fields. The full-day workshop will give students time to work through the STAR Decision-Making Model and come to their own decisions about what to do when faced with an ethical dilemma. Once again, dilemmas will come from both fields. While the seminar is introductory in nature, the workshop is more in-depth and will end working in teams solving an ethical dilemma.
