Profile/About Me
I graduated from Presbyterian College in 2009, earning my Bachelors of Science in Chemistry with a minor in Biology. I entered the graduate program at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC in 2010 and earned my Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2016. My research encompassed bacterial metabolism, biochemistry, and molecular biology, with a primary focus on the metabolism, function, and cross-talk of various transition metals in Escherichia coli.
Research Interests
My current research interests includes the discovery and characterization of secondary metabolites in prokaryotic and other single-celled organisms, and their potential applications in biotechnology.
