Profile/About Me
I have been teaching statistics since I was a graduate student (over 20 years ago) at both the community/technical college level and at the undergraduate and graduate levels at the University of Florida.
I am a proponent of blended learning including online and flipped classroom models which implement a "learn-by-doing" approach to statistics education.
I was born in this area of South Carolina (Liberty) and moved to Fort Mill SC when I was young. I graduated from Fort Mill High and earned BA and MS degrees in Mathematics from Winthrop University in Rock Hill SC. I attended the University of Florida for my PhD. I have 4 formerly feral cats and enjoy live music and gardening.
