These courses provide training for individuals to respond effectively in emergency situations. Courses blend methods of instruction, including videos, demonstrations and hands-on learning. Those who pass the course will receive a certification that is valid for two years.

First Aid/CPR/AED Certification Courses

The in-person component for full certification courses is taught over the course of three hours, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. All online learning content will be sent to participants on the Monday prior to their course and must be completed before the start of the course.

CPR Instructor Certification Courses
American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor courses are designed to train instructor candidates to teach the basic-level American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED courses, select Skill Boosts and Bloodborne Pathogens Training.

The instructor certification couse is taught over the course of fourhours, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m..
Course Prerequisites
Instructor candidates in the American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor course must possess a current basic-level certification in First Aid/CPR/AED or equivalent.

Custom First Aid/CPR/AED Certification Courses
If you have a group of 5 or more that needs to be certified together, please fill out our reservation request form to request a custom course. Groups of 10 or more may require more than one course date.
- Requests must be submitted at least 30 days before the desired certification course date.
- Dates, times, and course capacities for custom first aid/CPR/AED courses are limited based on facility space and instructor availability.
- All courses utilize a blended learning format in which online course content must be completed before the start of the in-person session. Online learning content will take approximately 1-4 hours to complete.
- Due to the amount of equipment involved in teaching a course, we cannot travel to you for a course
- All courses will take place at Fike Recreation Center.
- Course fees are assessed per participant in the course.

Refund Policy
- All refunds are subject to a processing fee. Refund amounts will be prorated based on the number of days remaining until the program.
- Refund requests submitted fewer than 7 days in advance of a scheduled program will not be approved.
- All refund requests are subject to approval and are not a guarantee of a refund.
- Requester will be notified of confirmation or denial of their refund.
- Refunds for credit/debit purchases will be returned to the card used on the initial transaction. Refunds for checks will be made in the form of a check from Clemson University.
- A full refund will be offered in the case of any program cancellation. All program registrations should be considered pending until appropriate course numbers are reached.
