Bike Shop
Located in the Andy Quattlebaum Recreation Education Center (Andy’s) within the Snow Family Fitness and Wellness Complex there is a full bike repair shop available to use as a Clemson student. This amenity is available for use by all Campus Recreation members at no extra cost. Our bicycle mechanics offer you guidance while you go through the repair process. The shop and all tools are also open for do-it-yourself repairs.

Mobile Pop-Up Clinics
We offer mobile pop-up clinics where you can have a free safety check done and gain knowledge on bicycling. You can also learn about opportunities for working at CORE and more about the bicycling community in and around Clemson. Where to Bike
Have you wanted to bike in or around Clemson but do not know where? For on campus bicycling maps and resources, visit my.clemson.edu and select the Map option. A map will load where you can choose Biking from the right navigation menu. This will show you what lanes and infrastructure exist on campus.
Additionally, At CORE we aspire to get you outside, so if you're looking for mountain biking, gravel trails or others check out our upcoming outdoor trips; we run a variety of biking trips each semester!

Do you service bicycles at Andy’s?
No, we are not a typical bicycle repair shop. We offer a full shop available for you to use to work on your own bike. If you need assistance, we have a mechanic available to offer guided assistance on Tuesday's from 2-5 p.m.

How much does it cost to get help with bicycle repair and use the shop?
The CORE Bike Shop is free to use and assistance is free as well for all Campus Recreation members.

Do you sell parts for bicycle repair?
Yes, however our parts inventory is limited to tubes, and some on trail tools like multi-tools, lights and other outdoor camping equipment.

Do you repair E-bikes?
At this time we do not service or repair E-bikes, scooters or skateboards. You are welcome to come in if you have a flat tire or to get some guidance on next steps.

Can I check out tools from the facility?
No, we do not have tools available to rent. You have to work on you bicycle here at Andy’s.

Where can I take rental bikes?
While there are many mountain biking destinations in the upstate, the trail at Southern Wesleyan University (SWU) is a go-to spot in the community for mountain biking. There are beginner and advanced trails that are free and open to the public. Feel free to ask us for more information on where to bike and if that is the best option for you.

What happens if I break the equipment or wreck on the trail?
You are responsible for any cost that comes with damaging CORE’s equipment. You have to sign a waiver agreement before you can check out that outlines your responsibilities.

Do I have to have a bike rack to check out a bicycle?
Yes, however if you can demonstrate that you can safely transport our equipment, our staff will be happy to rent to you.

What can be self-serviced at Andy’s? What kind of tools do you have?
We have a complete shop and can do just about any repair or addition you would like.

What are the policies for inclement weather?
- No bike rentals will be allowed on a day with a winter weather warning, or after considerable rain unless approved by Campus Recreation staff.
- Existing reservations will be contacted, and reservations canceled. This is to protect our trails, our bikes, and ensure the safety of our students.

I brought my own bike to campus, do I have to register it?
Bicycles are not required to be registered in order to be operated or parked on the campus of Clemson University. Registration of bicycles, to include stenciling of numbers on the bicycle, for identification purposes is recommended by and available at the University Police Department.
