Calhoun Family Plot, and Woodland Cemetery Historic Preservation Project and the Legacy Council at Clemson University host the Historic Cemeteries Research Symposium on campus every year. The symposium brings together community members and leaders, scholars, students, and professionals to present research, participate in interactive workshops and field trips, and discuss projects all across the nation and the world that aim to research, preserve, and memorialize historic burial grounds.
