Department of Management Mission Statement for Inclusion and Diversity
Supporting Clemson University's Strategic Vision and Mission, the Department of Management at the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business believes that diversity and inclusion are vital to the success of students, faculty, staff and our communities. We aspire to provide a welcoming and empowering home for every student, faculty and staff member by valuing individual differences and diverse perspectives- embracing inclusive excellence.
Diversity takes many forms including but not limited to diversity of age, disability, cultural background, educational background, gender expression, gender identity, national origin, race and ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation/sexuality, socioeconomic status/social class and veteran status. Although we foster an atmosphere of diversity and inclusion, we are committed to doing more. Therefore, we seek to continually develop a diverse body of students who are good corporate citizens and have a positive impact on the communities they are embedded in to create high-quality impactful research via faculty diversity, bridging theory and practice and to serve constituents and communities at all levels.
