Scholarships for CAFLS Students
There are scholarships available for undergraduate students within the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences. There are several scholarships awarded at the college-level and many more available through the five academic departments. Scholarships are made possible by the generous support of our Alumni and Friends.
Scholarships are competitive and awarded following a review of information provided on the scholarship application. Awards are based on criteria, and student credentials and information presented at the time of application and are nonnegotiable.

How To Apply
- Complete one scholarship application to be considered for college-level scholarships. Departmental and external scholarships are not available through this application.
- Incoming and transfer students are encouraged to complete the Scholarship Application prior to being admitted to Clemson University. The College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences will only offer scholarships to applicants who are admitted. To receive funds, admitted students will need to have majors in the college.
- All students must complete the Scholarship Application each year, even for renewable scholarships.
-
How do I get my scholarship?
Only scholarship recipients will receive email notifications. Awards will be applied directly to your student account through Student Financial Aid. Financial aid is typically paid to the bill 10 days before classes start if the financial aid award is accepted under the Financial Aid section in iROAR.

Scholarship Application, Selection and Important Dates
Students individually apply for these scholarships using a single form. Nominations of students from faculty and staff are also accepted. Submissions are reviewed and awarded once per year following the deadline.
Students must meet eligibility requirements to be considered for a scholarship. All submissions are reviewed and recipients selected by the CAFLS Scholarships and Awards Committee unless otherwise noted. Recipients are notified following selection.
Departmental scholarships are awarded via a separate process. Please contact your academic advisor or departmental Student Services Coordinator for more information.

FAFSA
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (or FAFSA) is form used to determine a student’s eligibility for federal financial aid. It is also used to determine if a student qualifies for other non-federal need-based aid such as grants and scholarships. To be eligible for any of the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences need-based scholarships, a student must have a FAFSA on file.
