About the History Minor
The History minor gives you the flexibility to pursue your historical interests and select courses that best meet your academic goals. A minor in History helps to develop your critical thinking, research and writing skills and complements any academic major. The requirements for the minor are outlined in the current academic catalog. You are free to focus on any History courses that interest you from the ancient world to the twenty-first century. In addition to United States, Asian, African, European and Latin American History, in recent semesters our classes have covered topics such as medieval witchcraft, World War II and the World, the American city, slavery in Africa, the Vietnam War, Russian film history and the history of the Disney theme parks.
You must declare your minor before the final semester of your senior year. If you have any questions about minoring in History, please contact the Undergraduate Studies Coordinator, Professor Michael Silvestri, at msilves@clemson.edu. We look forward to seeing you in Hardin Hall, the home of the Clemson History Department!
