Student Mail Services

Student Mail Services utilizes the latest technology and to provide exceptional letter and accountable mail item delivery through state-of-the-art digital locker and dynamic mail systems. We also offer full retail shipping and additional services for students, faculty and staff through the Student Post Office located in the top floor of the Dillard Building.

Please note that we are not an official Federal Post Office and do not provide services such as money orders or passport photos. Our services are for personal use only and may be rented by staff members, organizations and/or students living off-campus through the Clemson University Marketplace.

Your student credentials or government issued ID is required when picking up mail items.

Announcements

  • READ YOUR EMAIL! It tells you WHERE your package is located. Package lockers have been strategically placed across campus to provide the quickest, most efficient delivery.
  • Not sure WHERE that location is? Use the my.clemson app and select Map. Using the Search tool on the right, select Package Lockers and select the location where the email indicated. The map will show you where to go.
  • Expired packages – to move packages through the lockers as quickly as possible, you typically have 48 hours to retrieve them. After that, you will be notified, and the package will be brought back to the Student Post Office where you can pick it up there. Any item not retrieved after (21) days will be returned to the sender.

Our Services

Outbound (Shipping)

  • USPS: First-class, International, Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express, Ground Advantage, Media Mail, Tracking Services including Certified Mail and Signature Confirmation.
  • UPS: Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, 3-Day Select, Ground, International
  • FedEx: Priority and Standard Overnight, 2Day, Express Saver, Ground, International
  • Shipping supplies (envelopes, bubble wrap, mailing tubes, padded envelopes, boxes, packing tape, CD mailers)
  • Postage Stamps
  • Package Drop Off Instructions

    You may drop off any USPS, UPS, and FedEx packages with prepaid labels. DHL requires a scheduled pickup. They can be reached at 1-800-225-5345. Deadlines for same day pickup are as follows:

    • 3 p.m. – USPS and FedEx Ground
    • 4 p.m. – UPS and FedEx Express

    If you are using a pre-existing account number, blank UPS and FedEx air bills are available. Please note that FedEx Ground requires items to be sent from a FedEx authorized facility OR a scheduled pickup may be made.

  • Purchasing Packing Supplies

    We have a variety of boxes, envelopes and packaging material available for purchase, to see prices and options, please visit us at the Student Post Office in the top floor of the Dillard Building.

  • Faxing Services

    The price is $0.50 for every page local (864 area code or toll-free numbers). For long distances, we charge $2.00 for the first page and $.50 for every additional page. Taxes are not included.

  • Forwarding Services

    We do not provide regular forwarding services. Please contact senders to notify them of your current address. If an item was sent by mistake, or you were not able to check before leaving, we can forward any USPS item free of charge. Items delivered by UPS and FedEx will require payment to ship. Please contact us for details.

Inbound (Receiving)

  • USPS, UPS, FedEx, Amazon and DHL package and mail pickup (university-assigned credentials or government issued ID is required when picking up mail items). See Mail and Package Pickup Procedures for more information.
  • Package Notifications

    You will receive an email notification from studpo@clemson.edu when your package is ready for pickup on campus. See more details about package notifications and how to pick up your deliveries here:

    How to Use Student Package Lockers

  • Package Types
    • We accept boxes of any size, so you can have large items shipped to your campus address.
    • You can have food or perishable items shipped to your campus address. Just make sure the package indicates it is a perishable item so we can store it in a cool area.
  • Extenuating Circumstances
    • If you would like a friend to pick up your package for you, please let us know by sending an email from your Clemson email account to studpo@clemson.edu.
      • Include the name of the person picking up your item. Once they arrive, we will just need to see their TigerOne ID to release your package.
    • If you have a package shipped with the wrong name and/or address by mistake, please notify us ASAP, and we will set the package aside when it arrives.
      • All items sent with the wrong information are subject to be returned to sender due to mailbox turnover. We want to make sure the proper packages are delivered to you.
    • If you are graduating and/or no longer have a valid mailbox, packages delivered to Student Mail Services for you will be returned to the sender.
