Complexity is pervasive, and design has to evolve to take advantage of the growing demands in sustainability, and increased autonomy, considering multi-scale approaches, inter-disciplinary issues, uncertainties and Big Data. The mission of the group is to develop approaches and computational tools to support the design, deployment, and service of large-and multi-scale complex systems. The group is working to understand how to design and manage large-scale cyber-physical-socio problems with uncertainty by developing computational tools, data analytics, and the execution of simulations and human experiments.
