Looking for a Student Perspective on Clemson Honors?
Clemson Honors Student Ambassadors are Honors student volunteers who are official ambassadors for the Honors College and who are passionate about Honors at Clemson University.
Ambassadors meet with prospective students and their families to provide a student perspective on their various Honors experiences.
They are a diverse group of students, representing each of Clemson's academic colleges listed below, and they are involved in all aspects of campus life. They are developing communication, teamwork, and leadership skills as they interact with prospective students and their families.

Introduction: Hi, my name is Ansley Mossburg! I am from Chesnee, SC and am a sophomore Biological Sciences Major. I plan to attend medical school after graduation with the hope of pursuing Pediatrics or Dermatology! At Clemson I enjoy being involved with events at the Honors College and programs sponsored by the College of Science.
Ask me about...: Clemson Miracle College of Science Football Games FCA What to do for fun around campus
My advice for prospective students: One piece of advice for prospective students would be to take time to self reflect. When making the decision on where to go to college, it is important to look at the goals you have set for yourself and find the college that best fits and supports those goals. Self-reflection is also so important throughout your entire time in college because it helps you achieve your goals whether academically or personally by allowing you to take a step back, analyze how you are trying to reach your goals, and help you make improvements.
My advice for current students: Some advice for current students would be to not be afraid to ask for help and be open to new experiences. Clemson is truly full of people who want to see you succeed in your goals and are there to support you. The first step in being able to experience this support though is being willing to ask for help when you need it. Along with being willing to ask for help, it is good to also open your mind to new experiences and try something you never have before because you might end up finding a passion for yourself. Try to join a new club, talk to the other students you sit by in your class, and say hi to all the people in your residential hall. By getting out of your comfort zone you are able to have new experiences, learn new things, and possibly discover a new activity that you love.
Why I chose Clemson and the Honors College: I have always loved Clemson University! I grew up coming to the football games with my family and many of my family members also attended Clemson so even before I toured Clemson it already felt like home. When I took an official tour of the University and the Honors College, I felt an overwhelming sense of community within Clemson and Honors and felt like the support and opportunities Clemson had to offer would help me achieve my goals and make Clemson a second home for me.
My favorite thing about the Honors College: My favorite thing about the Honors College would have to be the close knit community. The Honors College helps make Clemson's big campus feel a little smaller, and it helps build close relationships with peers and professors.
My involvement in the Honors College: In the Honors College I am involved in Honors Ambassadors which is a position I have truly loved because I love getting to be a positive and smiling face prospective students and families see when they walk on Clemson's Campus!
My involvement in Clemson University: At Clemson I am involved with Honors Student Ambassadors as well as the College of Science Student Ambassadors! I love these positions because I love meeting so many prospective students and being able to greet them at Clemson. I am also involved in Clemson Miracle which is a student led non profit organization that raises money for the Prisma Health Children’s Hospital. I am also involved in AED and Tri-Beta which are Honor Societies related to my major and interest in pursuing medicine.
Favorite place on campus: My favorite place on campus is Bowman Field! This is the perfect place to meet with friends, have a Bible study, or play volleyball. There is always something fun to do there!
My future goals:
What are your plans after graduation?: After graduation, I plan to attend medical school!
