Clemson Honors Student Ambassadors are Honors student volunteers who are official ambassadors for the Honors College and who are passionate about Honors at Clemson University.
Ambassadors meet with prospective students and their families to provide a student perspective on their various Honors experiences.
They are a diverse group of students, representing each of Clemson's academic colleges listed below, and they are involved in all aspects of campus life. They are developing communication, teamwork, and leadership skills as they interact with prospective students and their families.

Introduction: Hi! My name is Caroline Clapacs and I'm a sophomore nursing major from Indianapolis, Indiana. Around campus I am involved in many things including Honors Peer Mentors, Honors Ambassadors, Student Nurses' Association, Central Spirit, and Running Club! In the future I hope to go on to become a Nurse Practitioner and work in pediatric psychiatry.
My advice for prospective students: My advice for prospective students is to focus on the feel of a campus just as much as anyone would focus on any statistic about a school. Taking extensive time to tour a school and ask questions is imperative to finding a place that truly feels like home!
My advice for current students: My advice for current students would be to say yes to every opportunity that comes their way. Always saying yes introduces you to new people and learning experiences that you may have never come across naturally and are often situations that enrich your experience as a student. I have met so many new friends and mentors at Clemson simply by saying yes and giving new experiences a chance. Don't ever count out certain experiences just because you've never tried it before.
Why I chose Clemson and the Honors College: Personally, I chose Clemson because I wanted a fully new experience for myself and immediately when I stepped on campus for the first time I had a gut feeling that Clemson was home. I chose the Honors College because of all of the unique but also sustainable opportunities it provides. All of the Honors College staff I spoke to during my application process were nothing but helpful and I could tell they truly wanted to help me succeed and I can fully vouch that those qualities have continued to show through the whole time I have been a student here. I especially liked how the Clemson Honors College not only allowed you to but even more encouraged you to get out and be involved in things all over campus.
My favorite thing about the Honors College: My favorite thing about the Honors College is the professors. All of the Honors professors I have had during my time at Clemson have been nothing short of amazing. The professors truly care about each individual in the class and their own successes. The professors also enjoy getting to know students past just their academic achievements. Many of my professors would routinely ask us about our days, weekend plans, etc. which helps establish a more comfortable relationship between professors and students.
My involvement in the Honors College: Within the Honors College I am involved in both Honors Ambassadors and Honors Peer Mentors.
My favorite Clemson class: My favorite Clemson class was my freshman Honors seminar which discussed the role of women in male-dominated spaces. This class challenged me to adopt a different perspective to many routine situations that I had never before realized were being discriminatory against women. Adopting these perspectives made me much more aware of women's disadvantaged experiences in what are modernly seen as common occurrences.
Favorite place on campus: My favorite place on campus is the amphitheater or outside of Watt. Both of these spaces are great study spots on a nice day and have beautiful scenery around them.
Three interesting facts about me: I ran a half marathon this year, my favorite type of dog is a mini dachshund, and I have never seen any Marvel or Star Wars movies.
