Introduction: Hi there! My name is Natalia Nortz and I am a Junior majoring in Biological Sciences. After graduation, I want to attend Physician Assistant school to become an Ear, Nose, and Throat PA. I enjoy cooking, reading, baking, pilates, and hanging out with friends!
Ask me about...: Ask me about my favorite classes, my favorite floor of the library, or the best place to get hot chocolate in Clemson!
My advice for prospective students: Be sure to explore all your options, but most importantly, make sure you find somewhere you feel like is a good second home. You will be living in that place for 8 months out of the year.
My advice for current students: Go to office hours and get to know your professors! They come from many backgrounds and have different paths of how they got to their current position!
Why I chose Clemson and the Honors College: I am a EUREKA! Alumni and I really wanted to do research coming into my freshman year and this program gave me the opportunity to do that. Additionally, when I came and toured Clemson and the Honors College, I felt like I found my place among peers and the environment.
My favorite thing about the Honors College: How supportive everyone is! Fellow classmates, our professors, and the advising staff are always rooting for you. It's a great feeling to know you have people from Honors in your corner supporting you.
My involvement in the Honors College: In addition to being an Honors Ambassador, I am a EUREKA! 2022 Alumni, a Dixon Global Policy Scholar, and former resident in the Honors Dorms, Cribbs and Deschamps.
My involvement in Clemson University: I am involved in Alpha Omega Epsilon, a professional and social sorority for women in STEM. I currently serve as the Membership Educator. I am a member of PAWS for PA's. I am also part of the executive team of TedXClemson which brings Ted Talks to Clemson!
If I could travel anywhere: I would love to go to Italy! My mom's family is from Sicily and I would love to get to meet the rest of my family. I would also love to eat so much pasta.
My favorite Clemson class: My favorite Clemson class was either Principles of Biochemistry with Dr. Heidi Anderson or Organic Chemistry 2 with Dr. Ashlyn Smith. These classes challenged me to think differently and find new ways to address material. These professors also helped explain difficult concepts so well that it made these classes so fun.
Favorite place on campus: I can most likely be found in the Honors Library! Its the best place to study or work on something.
