Introduction: Hi! My name is Zoe Vickery and I am in my third year at Clemson studying Health Science. I am originally from Greenwood, SC. I love running and doing outdoor activities, especially at the lake! I hope to attend medical school after I graduate to become a physician.
Ask me about...: Places to run around Clemson, Clemson FCA, and undergraduate research, but ask me anything you want and I will try to find an answer!
My advice for prospective students: I recommend taking Honors classes that sound a little outside your comfort zone, or are in a subject you don’t know much about. It is a great way to learn the material in a fun, small, encouraging environment.
My advice for current students: Continue to get involved in different Honors programs and opportunities! There are so many possibilities and experiences waiting for us to grab.
Why I chose Clemson and the Honors College: My mom went to Clemson and I grew up attending football games so I always loved this university, but I ultimately chose Clemson for the Honors College. I love that I can have both the large university feel of the main campus while also enjoying aspects of a small college through the Honors program.
My favorite thing about the Honors College: I love the small, niche classes that the Honors College offers.
My involvement in the Honors College: I have been involved in the Honors College as an Honors Ambassador, I participated in in-person EUREKA!, I have been both a peer mentee and a peer mentor, I’ve participated in a Dixon Fellows course every semester, I am doing Departmental Honors, and I’ve received a success grant.
My involvement in Clemson University: I am involved in undergraduate research, I am on the executive board of the HEARTFIRE! Club and I am involved in FCA and lead a small group.
What makes me happy to be alive: One of the traditions my friends and I have that I just love to do here at Clemson is to run to the grocery store to pick up some fruit and snacks and have a little picnic at the rowing docks or on the dikes.
Three interesting facts about me: I am scuba certified, I have an older sister in pharmacy school, and I have run a marathon.
