LIFELONG AGRICULTURAL LEARNING
Agricultural Education in the Classroom
Agricultural education prepares students for successful careers and a lifetime of informed choices in the global agriculture, food, fiber, and natural resources systems. Instruction is delivered through three major components: Classroom/lab, FFA and SAE (work-based learning).
FFA
The FFA is an intra-curricular program that changes the lives and prepares students for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. FFA members participate in leadership training, Career Development Events (Competitions), travel and gain skills needed for their future careers.
SC Farmer & Agribusiness Association
Designed to meet the needs of adult learners, the SC Farmer & Agribusiness Association offers continuing education opportunities at the local level, via local chapters, as well as state-wide opportunities via the state convention & summer tour.
