Profile/About Me
Graduating from the Weizmann Institute in Israel Dvora Perahia moved to Exxon R&E as a postdoctoral researcher. Following a year at the Physics department of Princeton University as a research fellow, she moved to Clemson University. She is a professor of Chemistry and is affiliated with the physics department. With interdisciplinary efforts, bridging chemistry and physics, we focus on understanding the role of molecular motion on the characteristics and functionality of soft materials.
Research Interests
Combining neutron scattering techniques and computations we study the correlations of chemistries of polymers and complex fluids with their structure and dynamics. Experimental techniques include small angle neutron scattering, neutron spin echo, reflectivity and back scattering together with x-ray and NMR, together with large scale molecular dynamics simulations.
