Information on Distributing Surveys
Clemson University aims to be intentional with the distribution of large-scale surveys as a method to assess and analyze effectiveness, attitudes, behaviors, learning, and satisfaction. The Division of Student Affairs supports the Office for Institutional Assessment in its charge of coordinating large-scale surveys to increase the quality of data collected and reduce over-surveying students, faculty, and staff.
If you are a staff member intending to send a survey after an event or learning opportunity, you do not need division-level approval to send. If you are a graduate assistant/intern, please ensure you have the permission of your supervisor. Staff and graduate assistants in student affairs may contact the director of assessment, Kristin Walker-Donnelly, to receive assistance in the development or review of your survey. As a reminder, unless permission is otherwise given, Anthology Baseline (formerly Campus Labs) is the system departments in Student Affairs must use to administer surveys. You may contact the director of assessment, Kristin Walker-Donnelly for access and training.
If you are intending to send a survey to do any of the following or are a member of CUSG or GSG, you must first contact the director of assessment, Kristin Walker-Donnelly and then begin the process to seek approval from the Office for Institutional Assessment.
