Volunteer Projects
As part of the Clemson University Mission Statement, "our distinctive character is shaped by a legacy of service, collaboration, and fellowship" and MRED Program students embody these values. In addition to learning about responsible and sustainable development, Clemson MRED students also perform volunteer work to create healthy communities. Through various community service initiatives within the local community and in the State of South Carolina, MRED students learn the importance of giving back to communities. Students help with projects like Habitat for Humanity, the Salvation Army, Mill Village Farms, Clemson Community Care, Hands on Greenville, as well as their own personal contributions of service in other areas. Understanding and identifying community needs help students become stewards of their communities and the people living in them.
